As an employee of an agency that provides waiver services, you are required to meet certain training requirements. Select from the options provided to access some of the required training. To receive credit, you must show proof of training with a certificate, questions/answers, etc.

You must take this training or show your employer a valid certificate BEFORE you start working.

You may need Adobe Acrobat Reader for some of the training. If you do not have that software, you can download it for free from http://www.adobe.com/reader.

PRE-HIRE TRAINING

Core Assurances

Get the Core Assurances to read here or to print and read. You must answer questions abou the Core Assurances to get credit. Review the information, print the questions, answer them, check your answers, then submit your answer sheet for credit.

ONCE A YEAR

Zero Tolerance

There are 2 ways to take this class:
- follow the link for APD at TCC.  Follow the instructions on the TCC website carefully to register for training and obtain your unofficial transcripts. You must register at least one day prior to beginning the training.

-follow the link for the APD Area Training Information, select Area Training Calendar and Course Descriptions, find Zero Tolerance and look at the calendar to see when the class is offered, then select On-Line Training Registration and sign up for the class.

EVERY 3 YEARS

Medication Administration Course

You must successfully complete the Medication Administration Course and be validated from an APD-approved trainer BEFORE you administer or supervise medications. See your employer to register for an approved course.

The Medication Administration Course is taken 1 time if you keep up with your annual Validation. You must re-take the course if you allow your Validation to lapse.

ONE TIME (be sure you do not allow your validation to lapse)

Medication Administration Validation

Validation must be successfully completed annually (once a year) before your previous validation expires. See your employer to register for approved validation.
