Main      Training      Employee      Client Forms
You may need Adobe Acrobat Reader for some of the training. If you do not have that software, you can download it for free from http://www.adobe.com/reader. You may also need Microsoft Word, version 2003 or above.  You can purchase this from Microsoft.

As an employee of an agency that provides waiver services, you are required to meet certain training requirements. Select from the options provided to access some of the required training. To receive credit, you MUST show proof of training with a certificate, questions/answers, etc. You must provide this proof to your employer.

Some training is required BEFORE you start work, some is required within a CERTAIN TIME-FRAME during your probation period (usually 30 days) or IN ACCORDANCE WITH YOUR CERTIFICATE, and some is required ANNUALLY.

If you are hired, you may use some of the training again for your ANNUAL requirement. You may NOT complete any of the training topics twice in one year.
TRAINING SOURCES - DISABILITY TOPICS
To provide medicaid waiver services you must meet certain training requirements. You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining your training. Use the Annual Training form to help you keep track of your annual training. You MUST submit proof (usually a certificate) to the office to receive credit. You may use these links or find your own. These are not required -- only suggestions. There are millions of articles, presentations, fact sheets, etc. that you can locate by doing a browser search. Do not use any one topic more than one time. Print a Certificate and your Training Form before you begin so that you can enter the information required.

Remember, your Annual Training should include topics related to your specific job in supported living, including Disability, Health, Safety, Employment, Volunteering, Community Resources, Housing, Person-Centered Planning, Money Management, Benefits, Foodstamps, HIPAA, Legal Services, Emergency Preparedness, Freedom of Choice, Reporting Measures, Incident Reports, Bill of RIghts, etc. If you find an especially good article or source that you want to share, please email the link to bquinker.
